The objectives of the VMR event are to bring our suppliers up to date with our plans and strategies. This event provides the opportunity to meet the Varian Management Team and buyers to further develop relationships between our companies.

In 2009 Varian held its annual open day for all suppliers on Tuesday 10th November. During the morning factory tours and business meetings were well attended at the Varian site in Crawley.

In the afternoon Varian's key suppliers were invited to VMR at South Lodge Hotel, Lower Beeding, West Sussex. Presentations from Varian staff were followed by dinner and then guest speaker, Mark Froud of Sussex Enterprise, gave a well received speech on the state of the economy. The evening culminated with the presentation of awards to Varian's suppliers of the year.
